Venue.fm

Venue.fm

Venue.fm assembles a playlist of bands coming to clubs in your area, then correlates each play with concert info. The net effect is to let you use your ears to browse the concert listings.

Really tight product focus. It does one thing well. You get the concept right away and the software delivers on the premise.

And plainly a good thing for bands.

  1. One of the few disadvantage of living in a place with a great live music scene is, because there are so many bands / venues active on any night, it’s hard for one to learn enough, fast enough about the bands playing in town.

I really like how venue.fm gives one a fast way to hear into the upcoming music shows. It’s like: what might I hear if I went to this show . . .
